The Happy Teeth Outreach Program (HTOP) was founded in December 2023 to raise awareness about the importance of dental hygiene, particularly in underserved communities. Recognizing how often oral health is overlooked, I established this nonprofit to provide individuals with the resources and knowledge needed to improve their well-being. As someone pursuing a future in dentistry and leadership, I’m passionate about making a meaningful impact on my community, and this initiative allows me to create positive change.

Since launching Happy Teeth, we've partnered with businesses and local organizations—like Sonoran Smiles Orthodontics, Metropolitan Youth Symphony, Arizona Dance Studio, and the Ocotillo Women’s League—to collect thousands of donations for underserved communities. More than 5,000 dental products—such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, mouthwash, and tongue scrapers—have been donated to support local programs for both adults and children, including New Pathways for Youth, ICAN, One Small Step, and others.

As we grow, we aim to expand our partnerships and broaden our reach in providing essential dental hygiene resources and educating underserved communities. Additionally, we plan to offer more hands-on opportunities for high school students interested in our cause, while enhancing both volunteer and membership opportunities within the organization. As a student-run nonprofit, we’re always eager to collaborate with and support other youth organizations. Our goal is to empower communities with the knowledge and tools they need to achieve healthier, brighter smiles and reduce preventable dental diseases.

To get involved or support the Happy Teeth Outreach Program, there are several ways to make a difference. We greatly appreciate dental donations, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss. Additionally, we’re developing further volunteer opportunities for both students and adults who are interested in getting involved.
