The Bruening Family Pups
Walter, Louise, and Millie
The Bruening household is filled with love and the companionship of three wonderful children and three fun-loving pups. Charles, Colleen, and their children—Jackson, Ella, and Luke—believe their dogs complete the family.
Walter, the eldest at nine years old, is the confident alpha dog of the bunch. A Shih Tzu with a laid-back demeanor, Walter enjoys lounging around and spending time with both his human and animal siblings. He became a part of the family on a cozy Christmas Eve in 2015, when the Elf on the Shelf left a special note naming him—proof the kids had been extra good that year!
Louise, a seven-year-old French Bulldog, was a birthday gift for Ella when she turned ten. Though she’s technically Ella’s dog, Louise is beloved by the entire family. Full of energy and adventure, she quickly became known for her incredible talent—running alongside Ella’s bike without a leash. This little Frenchie truly is a girl’s best friend!
Millie, the youngest at just two years old, may be small, but she has a big personality. With a love for backyard adventures, she gives her family a run for their money with her impressive tug-of-war skills. Her full name, Millie Bobby Brown, was inspired by the actress from Stranger Things, a show the Bruenings adore. While Millie may not be an actress, she’s known for her uncanny ability to catch treats mid-air.
Despite their different personalities, all three dogs share a love for the beach. They often join the family at Mission Beach, where they enjoy running in the sand and taking long walks. Louise is the only one brave enough to take a dip in the ocean, while Walter and Millie prefer to stay on dry land. Whether at the beach in California or at home in Chandler, the Bruening pups bring boundless joy and unconditional love to their family.
