Family Fun in Carriage Hill
Get to know the Blankemeyer family — Andy and Kristie — and their six kids, Jacob, Brooke, Elise, Connor, Zachary and Sadie!

Andy Blankemeyer grew up in Loveland, while Kristie is originally from Pittsburgh. The two met while in their sophomore year at the University of Dayton.
“His dorm room was next door to mine,” Kristie says. “When he first met my family, he joked with them that we met at church on a Tuesday!”
Since meeting, the two have graduated and started their careers and family. They have six children — Jacob, Brooke, Elise, Connor, Zachary and Sadie — all of whom are involved in various activities, like golf, volleyball, Ninja classes, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Lego league, gymnastics, basketball, baseball and dance. Kristie now works with Mamas with Kiddos, a women’s wellness program she started with her friend last fall, located in The TriHealth Fitness Pavilion; here, kids can have their own playdate while their moms get in a good workout and find friendship and support.
They share their home with their two dogs, Lincoln and Reese, their cat, Patches, and their hamster, Cookie.
Traditions & Hobbies
The Blankemeyers have numerous traditions they look forward to each year. Every summer, you can find them at Hilton Head Island with extended family, enjoying quality time. When Halloween rolls around, the kids dress up in theme (Harry Potter and Super Mario, to name a few). Christmas involves matching pajamas and slippers, and Valentine’s Day includes dad-daughter and mom-son dates. These traditions are always something to look forward to and prove memorable for everyone!
Spending time outside is one of the best ways for the family to connect.
“Some of our favorite things to do are go to Caesar’s Creek, ride bikes, and walk the dogs,” says Andy. “When the weather is not nice, we love to play family board games or watch a movie together with popcorn. Sunday football watching (the Steelers!) is another favorite thing to do together. We also love weekend getaways to Pittsburgh to visit family, especially during football season or the holidays.”
Community
Besides the wellness program for moms, Kristie loves to help at the kids’ school with as many activities as possible. Last year, she coached one of her daughters’ basketball teams. It was the highlight of her year!
When it comes to Carriage Hill, the family loves the overall environment and community.
“Our favorite time of year in the neighborhood is Halloween and the carriage rides at Christmas,” they say. “They are both so much fun.”
They love the easy pool access, the creek and dog park, and the numerous fishing ponds found throughout the neighborhood. For those who have just moved, the Blankemeyers are certain you have nothing to fear.
