Emerald Coast Nursery, owned by Ken and Leslie Odom and son Sean, has been creating beautiful landscapes since the 80’s. Leslie believes hard work and good customer relations attribute to the success of Emerald Coast Nursery.

 

Their current location in Niceville was previously a nursery for many years, so all the necessary amenities were already in place. “When this beautiful three-acre property became available, it was an easy choice to make into our own business,” Leslie recalled. Emerald Coast Nursery offers a variety of high-quality plants and decorative items for your outdoor and indoor spaces. The unique Gift Shop with items from all over the world makes a visit to Emerald Coast Nursery an esthetic experience. We also carry supplies such as Fox Farm potting soils, fertilizers, insecticides, all specially selected for your plant needs.

This is where it all began, Crystal Beach and the creation of Destiny. In 1995 when Hurricane Opal destroyed our area, it created an opportunity for Leslie to completely redo the landscaping of many communities with the first being Destiny East, Destiny West, and Destiny by the Sea. She designed and/or installed the landscaping for all three of the entrances, clubhouses, and pool areas. Additional projects include Nantucket Cottages, the Seascape entrance, Avalon Beach Estates, Mediterranea, and The Surf Hut restaurant to name a few. In Kelly Plantation Leslie won the Aurora Award for the Sims Residence in Olde Plantation Place in 2003.

As a Landscape Architect for Sandestin, Leslie spent two years approving projects with their 66 Home Owner’s Associations. Subsequently, she has landscaped many residences both new builds and existing total property makeovers. 

Hammock Bay

Emerald Coast Nursery has supplied and installed many large trees and shrubs for Hammock Bay entrances and parks. One-hundred-foot-tall Longleaf Pine trees from our property became the beams for the recently built Props Brewery inside the community. We continue to supply homeowners with beautiful plants for their landscaping needs.

Our good friend Phyllis Flowers purchased a home in Niceville with site unseen. Then she realized there was a huge eyesore behind her fence. She was ready to turn around and resell the home when Emerald Coast Nursery came in and re-landscaped the entire backyard to hide it from view. Now she loves spending time in her backyard, it is her favorite place to be.
