Describe your pet's personality
Hannah came from an abusive situation in Louisiana and is somewhat afraid of men, unless they are sitting or lying down. Hannah is a doll baby that loves attention, and likes to chase a ball but hasn’t figured out that she needs to return it. She kept putting her ball under the couch so we had to install a wood barrier underneath. Outside, if I have cut palm branches or have bush clippings, she jumps in the pile and loves to scatter my hard work all over.
Hannah's biggest drawback is she has extreme motion sickness so has to be sedated even for a short trip. She also came with a collapsed trachea, so she makes a choking noise after drinking water. Even though things started out rough with her past and fear of people, I would not trade her. She is beside me jumping up and down when I come home, but also right beside me if I am down or feel bad.
Funny story about your pet
We installed a doggie door from the lanai but she would have nothing to do with it, even though she had previously followed her foster mom’s dog through one before I got her.  Last year I took her to TN and there was a big dog door which she immediately went right through all day long. I didn’t even have to show her the door. When we returned to FL, she had no problem going right through the door.
Take us through a typical day in the life of your pet
She jumps up in bed with my husband for a petting session, then goes outside to check for squirrels and sniff out the yard. Then she eats and has her Prozac pill in cream cheese. Later, she goes for a walk, eats dinner and goes back outside for ball play. She naps on the couch till bedtime then she sleeps in her cuddle bed near me. Even though she is young, she takes a lot of naps (which suits me).

Other fun things about your pet
Hannah's playmate is Buddy, also a rescue, who lives down the street. Hannah stops at his house and looks for him. Buddy’s dad sometimes walks Buddy by our house, so she lies at the door watching for them. Hannah doesn’t mind going out in the rain, but yet she hates baths.
What is your pet's favorite thing to do?
Going for a walk. Hannah has a dog walker, Francesca, three days a week. All I have to do is say Francesca’s name, and she runs to the door. When she sees her coming, she jumps up and whines. Whenever the doorbell rings, she runs to it thinking it is time to walk. The other day, she escaped and she is not good about coming when I call.  I spotted her several houses away and told her it was time for Francesca (that was true), so she came running.
