Brandon Granberry is no stranger to Buffalo Creek—his parents lived on Fairway Circle during much of his childhood and moved to Kings Pass in 2001. A 1998 Rockwall High School graduate, Brandon earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. He met Stephanie, then a freshman at OU, in May 2001 while he was a junior. Though they didn’t see each other again for three months, Stephanie knew he was “the one.” They reconnected later that year, got engaged four months later, and married in January 2004.

 

After graduating from OU, both Brandon and Stephanie joined the Granberry family business, Graphics Solutions Group (GSG), a graphics arts distributor, founded by Brandon's grandfather and headquartered in Dallas with 9 locations and 350 employees. Earlier this year, the family sold the company to competitor Grimco. Brandon is now retired and exploring new ventures, while Stephanie works at Grimco as its Enterprise Account Specialist on its credit team, working from home to balance career and motherhood.

Daughter Payton, 19, is a strong cancer survivor. In 2018, at the age of 12, she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia, a serious blood disorder, and spent 150 days in the hospital. On August 16 of that year, she received a life-saving bone marrow transplant from a UK donor. Now considered cured, Payton graduated from Rockwall Heath High School in June 2024, attended cosmetology school, and will attend Texas State University this fall. During her recovery, she discovered a love for crafting, including cross-stitch, needlepoint, crochet, and drawing.

Payne, 16, is a junior at Dallas Christian Academy where he excels in math. A passionate athlete, he plays varsity football and practices golf daily—a love passed down from his dad and grandfather. Payne dreams of becoming a professional athlete or, alternatively, serving in the military.

Nine-year-old twins Crawford and Callan are in 4th grade at Pullen Elementary. Crawford, named after the Texas town of President George W. Bush’s ranch, shares his brother Payne’s strengths in math and athletics—PE is Crawford’s favorite subject. He loves football and basketball, and also shares his parents’ passion for cars.

Callan prefers tennis and has a strong interest in sports analytics. He collects sports cards from all major leagues and is highly knowledgeable about players and team stats. A LEGO enthusiast, he can build complex sets with little guidance. Both he and Crawford love spending time on the backyard trampoline.

Dog lovers through and through, the Granberry family wouldn’t be complete without their four fur-babies: Shep (7) and Major (1), both Australian Shepherds; Scout (2), a black and tan Coonhound; and Duff (8), a rescued Chihuahua/Westie mix.

The Granberrys became Buffalo Creek residents in July 2021 when Brandon’s parents bought a ranch, and Brandon and Stephanie moved into their home on Kings Pass. While beautiful, the house wasn’t ideal for their family of six. After years of keeping an eye on neighborhood listings, they found the perfect fit just down the street on Native Trail and moved in March.

The Granberrys are active members of Lakepointe Church where Stephanie and Payton volunteer in the SOAR ministry. Their lives revolve around the kids’ school and sports, but they also love to travel—an annual beach trip is a family tradition. In 2026, they plan to visit the UK to see Payton’s bone marrow donor who has become like family. They enjoy entertaining with extended family and friends.  Each year Stephanie hosts  a summer “Aunt Camp”—a fun-filled week with her nieces and sisters. For date nights, Brandon and Stephanie enjoy a quiet night at home watching a movie or an afternoon lunch date at a favorite Rockwall spot, with Bin 303 topping the list.

The Granberry family’s love for Buffalo Creek is clear in their dedication to finding the perfect home in the neighborhood. We wish them many more years of joy and lasting memories with family and friends in Buffalo Creek.
