We celebrated the grand opening of our Italian Heritage Farmhouse exhibit with adjoining "Il Orto Kid's Garden," the vegetable garden, and Chevron Picnic Pavilion.  It was an amazing event with over 400 attendees and local vendors with delicious Italian inspired fare.  

We have been humbled and honored with the amount of support from our local community to make this project come to life and celebrate the legacy of the Italian community's impact on Bakersfield and Kern County for over a century.

We would like to thank the Italian Dante Heritage Society, Italian Heritage Foundation, 29 Italian families in Kern County, Ellen Baker Tracy Guild, Trichell Family Foundation, Haley and Bugni Family and Kern Dance Alliance for their tremendous support of the Italian Heritage Farmhouse Project.
