MEET THE LANGE FAMILY

of Woodmont Cove

Holly and Alan Lange moved to Bridgewater after raising their sons, Ford and Jake, in Fondren. Both young men graduated from Jackson Prep and when they began college, Holly and Alan made the move to Bridgewater. Holly noted how much they love their quiet cul-de-sac, their lovely neighbors, and the convenience to everything living in Bridgewater.

Alan and Holly first met at Millsaps College (sometime in the 1990s). It wasn't until the two were on a flight to Jackson in 1998 for the wedding of Holly's college roommate and Alan's family longtime friend, Dorothy Allen Hawkins, when the pair really hit it off. Not long after, Alan flew to DC to take Holly to dinner—and the rest, they say, is history.

Alan leads Ridgeland-based Kinetic Staffing, an executive recruiting and staffing company, where he advises businesses, professional service firms, and government entities across the United States. A true businessman and entrepreneur at heart, Alan is also an investor in many local business ventures and startups.

For nearly 25 years, Holly has run her own event planning, fundraising, PR and consulting firm. She has been fortunate to be involved in Mississippi's "coolest cultural projects" such as Jubilee JAM!, the Red Beans and Rice Festival, the Mississippi Museum of Art Centennial, and the openings of many museums, including the legendary BB King Museum and the Two Mississippi Museums.

Holly has a love of all things literary. Ten years ago she founded the Mississippi Book Festival, a true labor of love. After eight fulfilling years building and growing the festival to a nationally recognized literary event, Holly confidently handed the reigns to her dear friend Ellen Daniels, who continues to grow and steward the festival. In recognition for her work, Holly received the 2022 Governor's Arts Award, which she describes as a "distinct honor.” Holly now spends her time traveling with family and friends, being outside, enjoying her many interests, and, of course, reading.

Holly and Alan's oldest son, Ford, graduated from Mississippi State in December 2022, and worked with Primos Hunting upon graduation. While he loved the company and culture, the great outdoors are Ford's calling. He currently lives in the Midwest with his Labrador, Ivy, as a professional hunting guide.

Jake graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi in December 2022 where he played football for the USM Eagles. With one year of eligibility left, we are delighted that he has been recruited by Delta State University for one last ride. We are looking forward to this final football season before Jake follows his calling in coaching.

Alan and Holly are delighted to share their Bridgewater home with their dogs, Ellie and Birdie, as well as Ford, Jake and extended family and friends.

Thank you to the Lange Family for sharing a little about yourselves with the readers of Stroll Bridgewater. We appreciate you!
