A Kinderton Fourth: Celebrating 250 Years of America!

When it comes to celebrating America, the people and community of Kinderton Village do not disappoint. This Fourth of July marks a huge milestone of America - the 250th anniversary. The morning started out with the annual parade, which included scooters, bikes, golfcarts, and the local fire truck all decked out in decorations. The streets were filled with horns, cheering, and laughter. The group of red, white, and blue followed the fire truck around the block, ending up at the pool area where goodie bags were handed out.
Up in the pool area, Rock and Roll Soul band played lively tunes adding a fun touch of Fourth of July spirit. In the clubhouse, amazing food was served, thanks to our volunteers. The volunteers put a touch of magic and a smile on everyone’s face. Lowes donated delicious watermelon and vegetables, keeping everyone refreshed! Thanks Lowes!
The pool was decorated with flags and streamers, but one flag stole the show.  At first glance, it looked like a traditional American flag, but its red stripes were made from rows of red handprints from Kinderton children. The handprints capture the spark and joy that make Kinderton special. A special thanks to Summer, a pool worker, for helping bring this flag to life.
This was one of the best turnouts we have ever had for a celebration, and it made the day even more special. Thanks to our wonderful volunteers, we could not have asked for a better Fourth of July. Thank you for helping make it such a fun and memorable celebration. Here’s to 250 years of America—and many more to come.

Happy birthday, America!
