Milo Bear: Loud, Proud, and Full of Love

Woof woof! I am loud, proud, and devoted to my humans! I am a lover, not a fighter. My name is Milo Bear, and I live in Kinderton Village with my best friends, the Hedgepeths. I was very young when I met my humans. I had a lot of siblings and didn’t get enough time with my mom until my friends, the Hedgepeths, came for a visit. I have been the center of their attention ever since!
I am originally from Fayetteville, NC, but I moved to Bermuda Run, NC, in 2021. There is so much to do here! From seeing lots of families, exploring different parks and vineyards, or venturing near waterfalls, I end each day with a smile and tired paws.
I love my little home in Kinderton the best. I walk three times a day and often get to see the majestic heron. They just opened a new trail, and evening walks on the weekends have become a favorite of mine. I get to hear music from a local pizzeria and rest near flags that my mom says have bricks remembering special moments or people in their lives. Her favorite is one for her great pawpaw.
My humans came home with a baby in 2023, and life got even better! They already had a son I played with, and now I have a girl to play with too. They’re not rough like my old siblings but are kind and funny. Their son enjoys running on the sidewalk, and I enjoy running alongside him—he is very fast! He loves dancing silly, and his laughter during our games of catch makes me really happy. It took a couple of years for his sister to catch up, but she’s just as fun. Our mornings got better with her by our side.
My mom’s newest morning adventures have included pup-a-chinos and longer walks. With the newest family member, we’ve been able to explore more parks, go on more car rides, and have more picnics together. I get nervous and vocal when new people come around her, so my humans often assure me that they’re safe and we are okay. Even with another human at home, I am showered with so much love! I have mountains of toys, belly rubs, cuddles, and meals that make me feel like I might need a second belly.
Sometimes, I can get a little too excited or loud during storms or when I see people I don’t know, but my best friends always help me calm down with love and cuddles. The Hedgepeths are not just my best friends—I’d say they are my family. They love me, and I love them!
