The Power of Love

Love, in all its forms, isn’t simply something we feel — it’s what keeps us moving forward. Let’s make it count.

Whenever I think about love, my mind goes to an old movie moment. You probably remember Jerry Maguire standing in a living room, saying the simple but powerful words, “You complete me.” It is bold, honest, and a little uncomfortable in the best way. It reminds us that love has a way of breaking down walls and pulling us into something bigger than ourselves.  Love is not just a movie moment or a Valentine’s Day card. It shows up in all of the little things. In everyday routines. In showing up for one another again and again.

In this issue, you will meet couples whose love stories span decades. Their stories are built on shared lives, quiet moments, and steady commitment. You will also find love beyond romance. Love that looks like neighbors helping neighbors. Children learning empathy through action. A community coming together to sing, give, and care. Love that opens a home to a pet who needs patience and consistency. Love that grows through service, trust, and time.

And there is something else worth remembering. Love is not just good for the heart emotionally. It is good for us in real ways. Strong relationships can lower stress, support health, and help us weather life’s challenges. Whether it is family, friends, a partner, a pet, or a community that feels like home, love steadies us.

As our community continues to grow, we are especially happy to welcome new neighbors. We hope you quickly find connection and belonging here. One of the best ways to do that is by supporting the local partners featured in these pages. They are part of the fabric of this community and are always ready to help when a need arises.

As February begins, let this issue be a reminder to invest in what matters. Call someone you love. Share a meal. Lend a hand. Notice the small moments. The little things are what shape our relationships and strengthen our community.

Thank you for being part of it.

With gratitude,
Stephanie
