This is Miller!
Hi there! My name is Miller Bryant, but my people also call me Bubs, Mr. Man, and Nosey (which I think is very unfair, because the world is full of important smells). I’m part Newfoundland and part Golden Retriever—also known as a Golden Newfie, thank you very much. I weigh in at a solid 88 pounds of fluff, and I’ll be two years old in June!
I met my parents just one month into their marriage, when a friend needed to rehome me. At the time, I lived in a very busy house with four foster kids and two more on the way after Hurricane Helene. I loved all the action and excitement, but between my growing size and my enthusiastic puppy energy, I may have been a bit much with so many tiny humans around.
Enter my now-parents: newlyweds, new homeowners, and completely smitten. I mean, who wouldn’t be? I’m a giant fluff ball with a heart full of love and a strong desire to be everyone’s best friend. Since they don’t have kids yet, they’ve poured all that love directly into me—and let’s just say I am very spoiled. Even my grandparents get in on it. Toys, treats, attention…life is good.
You might spot me out and about in Kinderton Village or around Bermuda Run, proudly carrying a giant stick I definitely did not steal from a neighbor’s pile. I might also be gently (or not so gently) pulling my mom or dad toward someone new—because obviously they look like they need a dog friend. I promise I mean no harm; I just love everyone. I also love romping around the yard with my cousins and neighbor pups, and sometimes my cousins even come over for sleepovers (the best nights ever).
All in all, I’m incredibly grateful for my parents, my friends and family, my enormous yard sticks (some people call them logs), and my nightly snuggles. I also have to give a big tail wag to my amazing veterinarian, Hillsdale Animal Hospital, for taking such great care of me. Between a loving home and excellent health care, I couldn’t be a happier big, fluffy boy.
If you see me out walking with my parents, please feel free to say hi—I’d love that. Hope to see you soon!
