Garden Club’s SHREDDING EVENT Saturday, April 13, 9 am – noon, Bermuda Run Town Hall parking lot. This fundraising event benefits many local non-profit organizations. $5 fee per paper grocery bag or similarly sized box.

John Denver Musical Tribute with Ted Vigil Saturday April 13, 7:30 pm hosted by the Davie Arts Council at the Brock AuditoriumSinger, songwriter, and tribute artist Ted Vigil has performed around the world and was awarded the Rising Legend Award by the National Traditional Country Music Association in 2012. Ted also had the honor of performing with the late Steve Wiesberg, John Denver’s lead guitar player 2010-2014.

EarthFest Celebration at Davie Community Park Saturday, April 20. This is a celebration of a greener, healthier community! Davie County Recreation & Parks is hosting an Earth Day Celebration including volunteer clean-up and tree & flower planting! DCRP wants you to be part of a special project designed to “Protect Your Happy Place”.
Pre-register to receive a t-shirt, snacks, and all the supplies needed to have a successful ‘feel good’ day!!

Journey Tribute performed by Trial By Fire Saturday May 4, 7:30 pm hosted by the Davie Arts Council at the Brock AuditoriumPrepare to let Trial By Fire take you back to an earlier day where lighters were held high and you couldn’t help but to sing along to such powerful choruses as “Don’t Stop Believin’” and “Faithfully.”

Rich Park, Mocksville  From the website: Welcome to Rich Park! Kids can enjoy the swings, slides and other updated play equipment. Parents can play, too, or sit under the covered shelters and enjoy a good book or just relax. Everyone can enjoy a brisk walk or bike ride along the three to four miles of paved trails encircling the park. Rich Park is also the perfect place for bocce ball, horseshoes, picnics, photography, and birdwatching, or more strenuous activities like baseball, softball, basketball, and volleyball. Farmington Community Center & Nature Park features new PICKLE BALL COURTS, disc golf, hiking trails, and picnic shelters.
