Men of Bentwater Luncheon

On May 15, 2024, members and guests gathered at the Yacht Club for an engaging lunch event. Doors opened at 11:00 a.m., and by 11:30 a.m., attendees were seated and enjoying a delicious meal. The event, which cost $30 per person, provided an excellent opportunity for both members and non-members to network and enjoy an informative presentation.
The highlight of the event was a presentation by Brett Ligon, Montgomery County District Attorney. Brett has spent his entire professional career in the area of law enforcement and criminal justice. If asked, he would say that he is most proud of having started at the very bottom entry level as an intern in college with the Brazos County District Attorney's Office, and later as a jailer in the Montgomery County Sheriff's Department. From there, he continued working his way through the ranks as an Assistant District Attorney for the Harris County District Attorney's Office, and Staff Counsel for the Houston Police Officers' Union before finally being elected as the D.A. of Montgomery County.
Attendees left the event well-fed and well-informed, looking forward to the next opportunity to gather and learn about important local developments.
