Celebration and Recognition

L to R Project Patriot Chair Merrilee Gordon, Rogue industrial Group COO Greg Crane, Regent Kay Pontious

The Coushatti Trace Chapter held its final meeting before the summer break and used the occasion to celebrate and recognize community organizations who were either the contributor to or the recipient of the service activities of the chapter over the previous nine months, as well as welcome new members to the chapter.

Among the awards presented at the meeting, the chapter was very proud to present the Outdoor Association for True Heroes (O.A.T.H.), Incorporated Founder and Executive Director Gary Bartels a $7,849.70 grant, funded by the Texas Daughters of the American Revolution (TXDAR) State Regent’s Project Grants benefiting Women Veterans. The chapter sponsored the grant to purchase shotguns, blinds, chairs, and rifles which will be used to establish a new hunting and fishing program for qualified female veterans.

The chapter also presented certificates of appreciation to Bentwater resident Greg Crane, Rogue Industrial Group, COO, for his generous contribution to our Project Patriot endeavors. Along with chapter contributions and activities, the chapter was able to provide Christmas Care Packages and Barracks Bags valued at over $6500.
