Allison Payne Akerman
University of Oklahoma
Allison is graduating with distinction from the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She maintained a 4.0 GPA for three consecutive semesters, making the President’s List each time. Allison made the Dean’s list four consecutive times and exceeded 100 volunteer hours at the Crisis Text Line as a Crisis Counselor. She has accepted an offer from Southern Methodist University to pursue her Masters of Science degree in Counseling in the Fall of 2024. Allison would like to thank all of her family and friends who have supported her in her academic and personal endeavors. "Boomer Sooner!"
Ryan Baker
Stratford High School
Ryan completed his freshman and sophomore years at Leysin American School in Switzerland as a boarding school student prior to moving to Houston. Here at Stratford High School, Ryan was a member of the Speech & Debate Team. Ryan enjoys snowboarding, target shooting, fishing, video games, and spending time on the lake at our second home in Bentwater whenever he gets the chance. Ryan will attend Texas A&M University in College Station where he plans to study Finance.
Bryce Butler
Montgomery High School
Bryce is a top 10% honor graduate. He will be attending Texas A&M, where he will major in Engineering. Bryce is a National Recommended Small-Town Scholar (The College Board, 2022) and has been a camp counselor at Camp La Junta in Hunt, TX since 2021. He has played lacrosse for the Magnolia Lacrosse Association as Short Stick Defensive Middle (2024) and has been a player since 2021. Bryce graduates Cum Laude and is a member of the National Latin Honors Society (2021).

Grace Chilek
Montgomery High School
Grace is graduating in the top 10% from Montgomery High School. She is in the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (mathematics honor society), and Spanish National Honor Society. Grace played varsity tennis and received 2nd team all-district honors last fall in singles. She will be attending Texas A&M University in the fall and plans to become a veterinarian.

Reese will be attending Texas A&M in College Station for electrical engineering. He has been very involved as an officer in Interact, NHS, and Art club at Montgomery High School.
Alexis Eckerson
Clemson University
Graduating with honors, Alexis is earning a Bachelor of Science in Marketing with a Minor in Sports Communication. While at Clemson as a full-time student, Alexis was very busy. She taught dance at a local studio, was a member and instructor with the Clemson Dancers, a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, and she worked full-time with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, the local professional hockey team in Greenville. Alexis plans to live in Greenville, South Carolina and continue working for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits organization. She will be the Manager of Game Day Operations and Partnership Activations.

Ashley Flowers

Ashley is graduating in the top 3% of her class from Willis High School. She has been a member of the varsity swim team for four years and currently holds four school records. Ashley also swims for CATS swim club and is a member of Student Council, National Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta. Ashley plans to follow her parents' footsteps and attend Colorado School of Mines where she will major in Mechanical Engineering. Ashley's favorite quote is, "Aim for the moon and if you miss, you will land among the stars."
Jack Fralick
Sam Houston State University
Jack Fralick, son of Mark and Patti Fralick, is graduating Magna cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television Production. Over the course of the last four years, Jack has been the director of photography (cinematographer) on 43 films throughout the Austin, Houston, and Dallas areas. His most recent film was nominated for 8 awards and won Best Writing, Best Cinematography, and Overall Best Film at the 2024 Heatwave Film Festival. After graduation, Jack will pursue his MFA in Film and Television Production at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, California, with hopes of later being accepted into the ASC mentorship program.

Lauren Hartman
Houston Christian High School
Lauren is a graduate of Houston Christian High School. At Houston Christian, she was the JV Co-Captain, Varsity Cheer Captain, and a two-time All-American Cheerleader. She also ran cross country and track, was a member of National Honor Society, a Disciple Group Leader, and a Camp Mustang Counselor. Lauren was a member of the National Charity League Ladybird Chapter and earned the Presidential Service Award. In the fall, Lauren is attending Texas A&M University and plans to pursue a degree in Business.
Cathryn Rose Hasselmeier

Cathryn is a graduating senior from Montgomery High School. Some of her biggest accomplishments are graduating with honors in the top 6% of her class and graduating with approx 50 college credit hours. She was able to accomplish all of this while maintaining full-time employment. Cathryn is also a member of the National Honor Society and president of the Criminal Justice Club. She will attend Sam Houston State University in the fall, where she will major in business administration and then has plans to attend law school.

Zoe is the granddaughter of Steve and Gaye Watkins. She is a four-year member of the Louisiana Music Educator Association’s All-State
Symphonic Band and Orchestra and winner of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. She is also winner of the Greater New Orleans Youth Orchestra’s Concerto Competition. Zoe attended Boston University Tanglewood Institute Summer French Horn Workshop in the Young Artist’s Wind Ensemble and Young Artist’s Orchestra in 2023 (and will return for summer 2024). She was winner of the Anthony Quinn Foundation Scholarship in 2023. Zoe will be attending Northwestern University in Evanston, IL starting Fall 2024.

Lane was ranked #3 in his class and is a Presidential Scholar Candidate. He was National Merit Commended and is a member of the National Honor Society. He was President of BVF and a member for six years. Lane will be attending Texas A&M and majoring in finance.

Lucas was Salutatorian of his class and a member of the National Honor Society. He was a state competitor in Acadec and UIL and was the President of UIL. He was also the President of BVF and a member for six years. Lucas will be attending Texas A&M and majoring in biomedical science.

Working her way through law school as a paralegal with Lane Law Firm, Marina has five years of legal experience in consumer and small business bankruptcy and civil litigation. Marina, daughter of proud mom, Carol Pinto Allen (Bentwater), graduated with a bachelor's degree in communications and advertising from the University of Houston, class of 2018. Marina was VP of Programs and VP of membership at Delta Zeta sorority from 2013-2017. She continues advising the current leadership of Delta Zeta.

Marcus Mategrano
University of Texas at Austin
Big Congratulations to Marcus Mategrano, who completed his degree in three years from UT Austin. He is graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Advertising. During his time there, he represented Texas playing tennis in national tournaments. He has diligently pursued his musical passion throughout and has composed a broad catalog of original songs on guitar, violin, and piano.
Nick Niebur

This is how you graduate when, on the scheduled day of formal graduation, you have a baseball game to play. For Nick Niebur, who is low-key and not a fan of ostentation, but is devoted to baseball and his school team, this was the ideal graduation ceremony! Nick is a magna cum laude graduate of UT Tyler University, earning a degree in Finance. He will continue his studies towards a Master's degree while enjoying another year of eligibility on the Patriots baseball team. Nick is the cherished grandson of Bill and Sally Chapman.
Celia Parkhill
New Canaan High School in New Canaan, CT
Celia is the granddaughter of Molly Parkhill. Celia has been an EMT with her town's volunteer EMS program since her junior year. She rides an overnight shift every Monday, responding to calls from residents that range from falls to traumas to mental health emergencies. The program also works to educate the community through public health initiatives, such as hands-on CPR and AED education events. Celia is a member of the youth group at her town’s Congregational Church. They meet every Sunday to participate in fellowship and local service projects. For the past three years she has gone on a mission trip with the youth group, the last one being to Puerto Rico. As a senior, Celia led her team as they discussed their faith and served the Psychological Institute of Puerto Rico. Her team focused on painting the women’s dormitory and getting to know the residents and their stories through their work. Celia works as a barista and an employee of “The Farmer’s Grind," a cafe in her town. The cafe serves several beverages and foods per order. She works several shifts a week, after school, or on the weekends. She volunteered at her high school’s preschool every week during her high school career, planning frequent 30-minute lessons and playing with the kids bi-weekly. As part of her child development courses, Celia tracked their cognitive and physical development, presenting her findings and highlighting their accomplishments to their parents at the end of each semester. Celia will be attending Wake Forest University in North Carolina, with an intended major in biology on a pre-med track.

Richard will be a May 2024 graduate of Texas A&M with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, a Minor in Psychology, and an International Trade and Agriculture Certification. During his time at Texas A&M, he was a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Agricultural Economics Society, Saddle & Sirloin, and the Pre-Law Society. He is an accomplished Eagle Scout and has his Texas Real Estate Sales Agent license. Upon graduation, he is looking forward to his upcoming educational endeavors and will pursue a law degree specializing in Agricultural Law and Policy.

Avery Szatny
Purdue University
Avery graduated from Purdue in 2019 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He lives in Düsseldorf, Germany and was accepted into grad school to complete his MBA at IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain (class of 2026) in the fall of 2024. This will be a 14-month "student full-time study" abroad program. Avery was a Montgomery High School graduate of 2015.

Bradley was a 2020 Montgomery ISD high school graduate and a Bentwater resident for six years. Fun fact …during isolation with Covid, his family moved into Bentwater for stronger, solid internet to run remote computer applications for all on-line learning.

Beyond athletics, Lauren has showcased her talents in Robotics and Aerospace Engineering, where they constructed a flyable plane!
