Meet Arthur, the Little King
Arthur, Part of the Singer Family in Belleair
On a recent stroll through the neighborhood, I had the pleasure of running into Cheryl Singer and her utterly charming companion, Arthur—a Cavapoo - an adorable mix of a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Mini-Poodle who, quite frankly, carries himself like Belleair royalty.
Arthur, who turned three in December, is the kind of dog that effortlessly steals attention wherever he goes. With his soft curls and expressive eyes, he has a natural elegance—but don’t let the refined looks fool you. At heart, he’s all play. His absolute favorite activity? A good game of ball. Toss it once, and you’ve made a best friend for life.
When it comes to food, Arthur is delightfully undiscerning. Cheryl laughs that his favorite meal is simply “everything,” and honestly, that tracks. He approaches life with enthusiasm, whether it’s a snack, a walk, or meeting someone new.
What truly sets Arthur apart, though, is his gentle nature. He has a special way with children—something you notice immediately. Whether it’s a toddler toddling nearby or a baby in a stroller, Arthur becomes calm, attentive, and incredibly sweet. It’s the kind of temperament you can’t teach.
Of course, every noble pup has a protective side. Arthur seems convinced he’s a full-fledged police dog, diligently barking at “suspicious” vehicles—particularly vans and work trucks. It’s all part of his self-appointed neighborhood watch duties.
And the story gets even sweeter: Arthur has a brother from the same litter, living in Tampa with Cheryl’s eldest daughter, Kaylie. When the two reunite, it’s pure joy—double the energy, double the fun.
In a community full of character, Arthur stands out as a small dog with a big presence—and an even bigger heart.
