Looking Back, Giving Thanks

A Thanksgiving note of appreciation for the residents, local businesses, and community advocates behind Stroll Beach Cliff.

This November, as we celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to reflect on a very special journey and honor the people who made Stroll Beach Cliff possible.

My search for this opportunity actually began two years ago in November 2024. I was looking for a role that would align my passion for connecting with people with my drive to support local businesses. As a political science graduate and active sorority alumna from Kent State University, I’ve always been driven by a desire to build real relationships and make a meaningful impact in the community.

That path led me to The N2 Company, where I discovered the potential of Stroll Beach Cliff, previously known as The Beach Cliff Beacon. The Beach Cliff Beacon was a wonderful community publication led by previous publisher Jason Pattee, who remains local in Avon and is still actively involved with N2. I am honored to carry on his legacy while evolving the magazine into what it is today.

By May 2025, I began working in earnest to bring Stroll Beach Cliff to life. Building something brand new takes trust, and I will always be deeply grateful to our very first three founding clients: John Crull of Crull Historical Homes, Darren Mancuso of Mancuso Homes, and Ashley Saxe of Ashley Saxe Group, eXp Realty. They believed in my ability to bring this magazine to life when it was still just an idea on paper.

From there, every single local business that joined us for our debut December 2025 issue is what officially pushed us across the finish line into print. Because of their support, this publication continues to be available to all Beach Cliff residents at no cost.

Finally, I must extend a huge thank you to Sarah Beirne of Sarah Beirne Photography, who has become a dear friend of mine. Stroll Beach Cliff would not be the same without her.

I also have to thank Beach Cliff resident Christine Bowen as well. She was heavily involved with The Beach Cliff Beacon, and her expertise and mentorship have helped maintain the integrity of what makes this publication so relevant to the community.

I also want to give a huge shout-out to Beach Cliff resident Kim Crane of Kim Crane Group, Howard Hanna for connecting me with so many of you, as well as entrepreneur mogul Joe Matejka of Walk Your Plans for sharing professional guidance with me and hosting our Launch Event back in April.

Every single business you see represented in these pages was a joy to meet with. The owners are absolutely wonderful, and I will never forget sitting down with them to learn their personal stories and the vision behind what makes their services so exceptional.

I could list so many more names, but we would run out of room on the page! Truly, I will never forget the conversations I've had with each of you over this past year.

Completing our first 12 months in print fills me with immense gratitude for our residents, preferred partners, and advocates who care so deeply about Beach Cliff and the broader Rocky River community.

Whether you are new to the neighborhood or a lifelong resident, my goal for every issue is to create something visually compelling that earns a place on your coffee tables and countertops as a collection of community memories and neighborhood connections.

Thank you, sincerely, to all of our preferred partners and all of the wonderful neighbors for welcoming me into your homes and hearts this past year.

Cheers to November, and Happy Thanksgiving!
