I enjoy the outdoors and leisurely water activities year-round. One of the annual excursions we provide is a group float adventure. I have always found visiting any creek, river, lake, or spring to be a peaceful, nature-lovers' experience. When it comes to choosing a location, there are so many options. I am excited to share some favorite spots for kayaking, canoeing, or tubing.

August is the perfect time for cooling off in the ice-cold water, and the crowds have begun to subside.  Cypress Springs is a beautiful, crystal clear natural spring in Vernon, FL. I enjoy the amenities at Holmes Creek Canoe Livery. They offer canoe or kayak rentals, or bring your tube. The shuttle will take you up, and you float back to your location. This is nice because you have use of the mini water park on the river at this location. We enjoyed playing on the rope swing, diving, and the slide. They also have picnic tables and a grill for eating before or after your adventure. This is a short float and a great place for everyone to enjoy.

If you would like to experience more than one spring, try Ecofina. There are many along this seven-mile float outside of Youngstown, FL. I like using Ecofina Creek Canoe Rentals. Of course, you can put in your kayak, too. There is a shuttle pickup service at the end of the float. Beware, there is mostly private property along this creek and minimal places to pull your vessel out of the water. 

Morrison Springs County Park is a great place for tubing. The park offers free admission, adequate parking, and full amenities. We like to picnic on the sand under the huge cypress trees. The spring is extremely cold and crystal clear inside this Walton County park. Warning: If we receive a lot of rainfall, this area can flood, and the spring becomes murky. There is a nice sandy beach with boardwalks for use. We enjoy floating around and exploring on our tubes. We usually snorkel and dive from the floating platform in the middle of the water.
