Regarding your area of expertise, what’s something that non-experts believe that they’re actually mistaken about? When I am in a photo shoot I have many individuals say they are not photogenic. I believe that if you relax you client you can get great shots of them. It is all about communication and getting to know your client so they relax. I ask them questions to get to know them better and usually somewhere you have things in common that you connect on. Once you have relaxed your client your photo session becomes a friendship. Your photos then will turn out great. Your client will look and be amazed.
What's the most commonly asked question you get?
How long have I taken photos.
How do you respond to that question?
This started as a hobby over 15 years ago. My first photo shoot was my son and daughter-in-law's engagement shoot out in California. I still have those photos and till this day, I look back on them. It showed me that I enjoyed taking photos and I became the family photographer.
Then I went on from there and took photos all the time. I continued with taking cheer photos of my daughter in cheerleading and family vacations. I came home to PCB in 2017 and began taking photos of groups, families, nature animals, blue herons, egrets, alligators, special events and bands.

I have also been a photographer for the Panama City ParrotHead club for eight years. We raise funds for Bay County charities and give back to the community.
What's another question people ask you about your field of expertise?
How do I book a session?
Please explain why what you do is important to a homeowner or resident.
The taking of photos is not only introducing you to the community, it also creates memories for your future generations. The creation of memories is important to all. I enjoy seeing the smiling faces of other community members I meet.
What are some "do's and don'ts" you would tell clients regarding your business?
Make early photoshoot bookings. Life goes on continuously and there could be factors that prohibit a photoshoot, for example, weather. We live in the Panhandle and sometimes the weather will not
cooperate. Be flexible have a backup date just in case of bad weather.Anything else residents should know about your area of expertise?
I do love to go out and photograph and I always am willing to learn something new about photography. I usually do not go anywhere that I do not have a camera with me. I never know when I will see something that needs to be photographed.
