The Reel Ladies kicked off the summer with claws and cuisine as the Reel Ladies hosted their First Annual Blue Crab Cook-Off & Crab Race! 

This month marks the peak for netting these fun, feisty creatures, and we celebrated in true Reel Ladies fashion with incredible food, laughter, and a whole lot of crab. 

Ten talented chefs brought their best blue crab dishes to the table, serving up everything from creamy casseroles and savory stews to classic crab cakes and steamed beauties. The competition was fierce, but the flavor was even fiercer! 

First Place: Philomena Martrain- She-Crab Soup-Crab cook extraordinaire 

Second Place: Kurt Bergman - Crab cakes- a crowd favorite with serious chef skills 

Third Place: Dan Patterson-Steamed to perfection Crabs 

Our judges for the day were Kaye Keebler, Jodi Wilson, and Myron, who all had the best (and toughest) job of all! We’re so grateful for their taste buds and time. As we always say, “Don’t be judgin’!” but this time, we allowed it, and they loved every bite. 

The Crab Race stole the show with laughter and cheers echoing poolside. These crustaceans had moves!
