Hi, I’m Dr. Christian Gay, and I’m glad to share a little about myself and the journey that led to founding my pool service company here in Austin, Texas. I hold a PhD in Biochemistry from UT Austin, where I graduated in 2015. My academic focus on water chemistry shaped my expertise in ways I never anticipated, eventually steering me toward entrepreneurship in the pool service industry.

The path to starting my business was an unexpected one. Shortly after finishing my PhD, a neighbor reached out for help with his pool, which had become a green, algae-filled mess. Using my knowledge of water chemistry, I diagnosed and resolved the issue in just a few days. Impressed by the results, my neighbor encouraged me to pursue this as a business, and the idea sparked what has now become one of the fastest-growing pool service companies in all of Austin.

Running the business has become a family endeavor, which makes it even more rewarding. My brother, Chris, and his wife, Shannon, joined me in 2021, moving from South Carolina to Austin. Chris is now our lead chemistry expert, ensuring our technicians adhere to precise water management techniques, while Shannon handles administrative operations, keeping everything running smoothly and efficiently.

Our mission is simple: to provide the highest-quality pool service by combining scientific expertise, data-driven methods, and a customer-first approach. Whether it’s balancing water chemistry, repairing equipment, or performing full-service maintenance, we aim to make every pool a safe, beautiful, and hassle-free part of our clients’ lives.

What sets us apart is our approach. Unlike many pool service providers, we apply scientific rigor to every aspect of pool maintenance. From optimizing water clarity and safety to prolonging the life of pool equipment, we take pride in delivering unmatched results. We also prioritize hiring and retaining top talent. Our technicians earn 3–5 times the industry average, and we offer full benefits to ensure that our team views this as a career, not just a job.

Our dedication to quality has paid off. To date, we’ve only received five-star reviews, and most of our growth has come through word-of-mouth referrals. This trust from our customers is a testament to the level of service we provide and the relationships we’ve built.

One of the challenges we’ve faced is overcoming industry norms. Many pool service companies rely on undertrained, low-paid staff, leading to high turnover and inconsistent service. We’ve flipped that script by investing in our team, offering extensive training and competitive pay to attract skilled professionals who are passionate about their work.

Looking ahead, our vision is to become the most respected pool service company in Central Texas. We’re currently servicing over 300 pools weekly, but we’re committed to growing without sacrificing the quality that sets us apart. To achieve this, we’re expanding our technician training program and exploring new technologies to enhance efficiency and precision in pool maintenance.

For me, this journey has been about more than just running a business—it’s about building a trusted connection with the community. As a family-owned and operated company, we take pride in supporting local jobs and helping our customers protect and enjoy their pools year-round.
