Meet the Bowles Family: Where Faith, Football, and Fashion Come Together

For the Bowles family, life is a dynamic blend of touchdowns, traditions, and togetherness. Taneka Bowles and her husband, Todd Bowles, Head Coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, call Avila home, where they’ve lived for the past six years. Their serene neighborhood offers a peaceful backdrop to a vibrant, fast-paced family life that revolves around football, community service, and a strong sense of family connection.

Their three sons are each blazing their own paths with energy and excellence. Todd Jr., 22, is a senior at Long Island University majoring in Communications and a starting safety on the football team. Troy, 20, also majoring in Communications, is a junior linebacker at the University of Michigan. At home, 14-year-old Tyson keeps things lively as an 8th grader at Carrollwood Day School, where he's involved in track and serves as a Student Council Delegate.

Though their schedules are packed, the Bowles family prioritizes time together. A cherished tradition has emerged in recent years: each Father’s Day, the entire family reunites at their forever home in Charlotte to celebrate Dad and the beginning of the NFL off-season, a moment to exhale, laugh, and reconnect before the next wave of action begins.

Taneka, originally from New Orleans and a proud Texas A&M University–Kingsville alumna, brings Southern soul to everything she does. Her kitchen is more than a room, it’s the heart of the home, where the aromas of Creole and Cajun favorites mingle with laughter and stories from family and friends. Her go-to local restaurant is Ponte, especially for the unforgettable Chilean Sea Bass, but truth be told, most would rather eat at her house!

Despite her packed calendar, Taneka thrives on staying active. She's the founder of the Tampa Bay Fashion Experience, a fashion production company that hosts high-energy shows and has raised over $250,000 for local charities. Her commitment to community, creativity, and cause-driven work is just one more way she inspires those around her. You can learn more at TampaBayFashionExperience.com.

Evenings in the Bowles household are capped with a classic tradition: Taneka and Todd unwind together with nightly episodes of Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, a ritual they've kept up for more than a decade. It's a small but meaningful part of their daily routine that reflects their deep bond and shared love for timeless moments.

When asked what she loves most about living in Avila, Taneka’s answer is simple: “It’s quiet. It’s serene.” Just the kind of place where big dreams are nurtured, traditions are treasured, and family always comes first.
