Rebecca "Bex" Coleman

Founder FullyStyled Studios

Rebecca “Bex” Coleman founded her company, FullyStyled Studios, in 2019. Bex had worked in retail for over 10 years garnering experiences at Ralph Lauren, Intermix in Georgetown, and as a personal stylist in the Fifth Avenue Club at Saks. With time she recognized a void in the space wherein local women needed broader and more curated support with their wardrobes and lifestyles.

With Bex’s eye for immaculate and tasteful style she helps women enhance and elevate their image which often sparks newfound and unrealized confidence in her clients. Her philosophy revolves around the mantra 'Live Fully, Live Styled, Live Fully Styled,' a belief that by shopping with purpose and dressing with ease, you can live more fully.  Born in Scotland, Rebecca’s family is Persian and she lived in England up to the age of 5 when her family moved to the United States. She grew up in McLean, attending McLean High School, and the University of Mary Washington. Rebecca and her husband Patrick Coleman moved to Avenel in 2021 and love living in the community.

Rebecca and Patrick met in 2018 in Aspen while on a ski trip with friends. Patrick is President of Jim Coleman Automotive, a 3rd generation family owned business with nine franchised dealerships in 4 locations throughout Maryland. The Jim Coleman Automotive portfolio includes Toyota, Cadillac, Infiniti, & Nissan dealerships in Bethesda along with a certified collision center, two additional Nissan dealerships in Silver Spring & Ellicott City, and Honda, Jaguar, and Land Rover dealerships in Clarksville, MD. Patrick is a graduate of Georgetown Prep and University of Miami.

Rebecca recalls finding their home in Avenel as a “when you know, you know” moment for the two. “I fell in love with the house and saw us starting a life together and raising a family here.” The couple made an immediate offer after viewing the home with Patrick’s high school friend and real estate agent, Chris Itteilag of Washington Fine Properties. They soon found that their offer was accepted and excitedly prepared to move to the community.

In describing her business concept, Rebecca shares her aha moment, which came after working as a stylist at Intermix, a contemporary boutique formerly in Georgetown. “Through conversations with my clients, I realized a common pain point: they had full closets but nothing to wear! They struggled to create outfits with the pieces they already owned. They bought a ton of items, yet by the time they arrived home, they had forgotten how to coordinate them.”

After a brief time as a personal shopper at the Saks Fifth Avenue Club, in 2019 Rebecca decided to focus all her time and energy on growing her own personal styling business. She recalls the dream she had when she was younger: “as a teen, I used to shop in department stores with my mom. I remember the Personal Shoppers’ rooms, how they were filled with beautiful goods, and I fantasized about how cool that job would be.” Today, FullyStyled Studios offers a virtual closet which Rebecca calls “the backbone of all our FullyStyled solutions, helping clients stay organized and intentional with their shopping while making the most of their existing wardrobes.”

Bex has now expanded her personal styling services to offer a fully customized in-home shopping experience wherein she sources a collection of pieces on consignment from her retail partners. These partners which are otherwise inaccessible in the DMV include prestigious brands such as Net-an-Porter, Moda Operandi, Matches Fashion, and more. “It’s an honor to work with these brands and I am grateful for the partnerships I have built with them which have added a tremendous value to my clients”

At their new home, the couple loves the days and nights they spend on their deck and in their yard, where they enjoy the scenery and nature surrounding them, in the company of their Yorkie Frank and their tabby cat, Samba. They enjoy eating at TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm and being a stone’s throw from Potomac Village.

Describing her motivation, Rebecca says “giving women confidence and contributing to their overall happiness is so rewarding - in any styling or shopping scenario, a shift in energy happens from the moment we start to the moment we finish. After a closet clean out assessment, my clients are left with a feeling of lightness that is palpable. I love providing clarity, and making a positive impact on the lives of my clients is priceless and super fulfilling.”
