Westwood Cleaners' services include expert dry cleaning, as well as many other services -- wedding gown cleaning and preservation, evening gowns, household linens, pillows, rugs, outdoor and indoor furniture cushions, shoe repair, handbag repair and restoration, belts, on-premises expert alterations, rugs, and leather/suede cleaning. They've cleaned and repaired saddles, riding boots, toys, and leather chairs, and have replaced the ticking on bed pillows. Westwood also provides convenient pickup and delivery services for all items. 

All services are processed in Westwood's plant in Gaithersburg, except for rugs and leather/suede cleaning.

Aris and Garbis, two brothers, came to this country as teenagers in the 80s with virtually nothing. They started working several odd jobs and going to school. Aris took classes and graduated from the International Fabricare Institute and Garbis attended college at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

In 1985, Aris established Westwood Cleaners as a small inside space on the second floor of Westwood Center II in Bethesda while Garbis continued his education. They had a small cobbler shop with dry cleaning pickup. Despite having no outside exposure, their shop was very successful. In 1989, they moved their small shop to a 5,000-square-foot space on the first floor of the center. They built a clientele that includes Members of Congress, National Media personalities, Washington Social personalities, and Presidential Candidates, as well as national retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Christian Dior, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Chanel and BVLGARI.  Westwood Cleaners has been recognized by consumer groups and local media for both the quality of their work and their prices.

Through their hard work, they have gained the trust and loyalty of their customers and are thankful for the opportunity to live the American Dream. They have built Westwood Cleaners into a family-owned and operated business with three generations involved.
