Case Veterinary Hospital: A Century of Compassion in Savannah

At Case Veterinary Hospital, caring for pets isn’t just a profession—it’s a family tradition that spans more than a century. Since opening its doors in 1909, the Case family has been devoted to keeping Savannah’s pets healthy and happy, making the practice one of the oldest continuously operating veterinary hospitals in the nation.
Now in its fourth generation of family leadership, Case Veterinary Hospital continues to serve the community with the perfect blend of advanced medicine and old-fashioned southern hospitality. Dr. Carla Case-McCorvey, the current owner and a lifelong Savannah resident, grew up immersed in the world of veterinary care. “I was born into it,” she laughs. Her childhood on Isle of Hope, her early years in Ardsley, and her deep family ties to Savannah have shaped not only her career, but also her passion for serving neighbors and their pets.

What Makes Case Different
In an era where many veterinary hospitals are being purchased by large corporate groups, Case Veterinary Hospital proudly remains family-owned and locally operated. For Dr. Case-McCorvey, that independence is everything. “When your family’s name is on the sign out front, and your family’s legacy is rooted in the community where you're raising your own children, doing what’s right by your employees, your clients, and your patients isn’t just a goal—it’s the only choice that makes sense,” she shares.
That philosophy resonates in every visit. Whether you’re bringing in a new puppy for vaccinations or a senior cat for specialized care, the Case team treats every pet as if they were their own. It’s not just about medicine—it’s about building trust, offering support, and creating lifelong bonds with families across Savannah.

The Team Behind the Care
Case’s reputation for excellence doesn’t rest on its history alone. The hospital is home to an exceptional team of veterinarians, technicians, and staff who combine professional skill with deep compassion. They laugh together, support one another, and foster a welcoming environment that puts both pets and people at ease.
Today, the practice is growing again. Renovations are underway to expand exam rooms, create new workstations, and modernize the facility to better serve patients and support the incredible staff who make it all possible.

An Invitation to the Community
For over 116 years, Case Veterinary Hospital has been more than a place for checkups and treatments—it’s been a home base for pet families across Savannah. From Ardsley to Isle of Hope, generations have walked through its doors with wagging tails and purring companions, finding not just medical care, but a family ready to love and support them.
And the Case family has a simple message for neighbors: “We want to meet you! Whether you’ve been here all your life or just moved here yesterday, come by for a visit. Bring your furry family member for a meet-and-greet, even if they don’t need an exam. We’d love to welcome you into the Case family.”
