Meet Harlow- Ardsley Park’s Most Glamorous Greeter

With her elegant bearing, Harlow lives up to the glamorous 1930s Hollywood actress she was named after. But this eight-year-old standard poodle is far more than a pretty face - she's silly, fiercely loving, and protective of her human family.
True to her breed, Harlow is a natural athlete who has even mastered jumping hurdles. Her favorite pastimes include chasing squirrels and butterfly shadows and playing fetch with a squeaky ball, which her mom says she can do for hours on end. Poodles were originally bred in Germany as waterfowl retrievers for hunters. The name itself comes from the German word pudeln, meaning "to splash in water," and their dense coat offers fantastic insulation in cold water. Even that iconic poodle haircut served a practical purpose: less fur meant less drag while swimming, but the poufs that remained kept vital organs and joints warm.
Harlow has a heart of gold and loves spending time with her family. Her joyous, comical nature keeps her human companions laughing, and her lighthearted spirit is a constant reminder not to take life too seriously. She's a dedicated dog watcher, whether perched on her front steps or posted up at a coffee shop or the farmers market. Her absolute favorite spot in Savannah? Wednesday afternoon day camp, where she runs, plays, swims, and rolls gloriously in the mud - followed by a well-earned spa day with her groomer Mallory at the Savannah Groom Room.
Harlow has cultivated quite the social circle in the neighborhood. Her besties include Vinnie, Ollie, Skye, Sunny, Blossom, and Luna. She loves strolling through Ardsley Park, especially along Washington Avenue and through Kavanaugh Park, with majestic live oaks and Spanish Moss. If you spot a stunning white poodle holding court on her front steps or trotting through the neighborhood with her head held high, that's Harlow - say hello!
