2024 Winter Bowl Cook-Off and Town Meeting

A Culinary Celebration and Community Appreciation


The Winter Bowl Cook-Off and Town Meeting, an annual event, occurred on Sunday, February 4, 2024. The Anchorage Civic Club expressed gratitude to all participants for their outstanding contributions to the 2024 Winter Bowl Cook-Off. The creativity and culinary expertise displayed by participants warmed hearts and filled bellies with deliciousness. From hearty chilis to cozy soups and delectable desserts, each dish brought its distinct flavor to the table.

Patrick McLane emerged as the winner of the Winter Bowl Cook-Off! His butternut squash soup and grilled cheese captured the hearts of the judges. The Garden Club secured second place with their delectable bread & butter pudding with bourbon sauce, while Harry Wilson's exceptional short rib chili claimed third place.

Heartfelt appreciation was extended to past president Kate Hendon for her exemplary leadership and dedication throughout the past year. Melanie Galloway was warmly welcomed as the current President.

Andrea Donan was honored as Citizen of the Year, with gratitude extended for her remarkable dedication, passion, and selflessness, which have significantly impacted the community and school throughout the years. Andrea's countless hours of volunteering and leadership in initiatives to improve school facilities have left an enduring legacy of positive change throughout the community. The Anchorage Civic Club expressed profound appreciation for Andrea's tireless efforts in making the school and community a better place for all.

Special recognition was reserved for the police department, fire department, school superintendent, Karen Solise, and Mayor Neil Ramsey for their unwavering support and commitment to the safety, vibrancy, and prosperity of the community.
