Agritopia Farm, the flagship project of the Arizona Urban Agriculture Foundation, spans more than 11 certified-organic acres in the center of the Agritopia neighborhood in Gilbert. It’s not just farmland, it’s where community gathers and memories are made.

This summer, neighbors came together in celebration of the harvest with our Peach U-Pick and Tomato & Sunflower U-Pick events. On May 24, hundreds of people filled the orchard, picking ripe peaches straight from the trees. In June, our early-morning sunflower and tomato harvests invited the community to stroll through rows of golden blooms and pick fresh, sun-warmed tomatoes right off the vine. It was a scene of pure joy: toddlers tasting fresh produce, friends reconnecting among the sunflowers, and neighbors bumping into each other in the most unexpected place, just blocks from home.

These are more than events, they’re invitations to rediscover what makes Agritopia so special. Beyond U‑Picks, the farm has hosted beloved traditions like our monthly Farm Night, a twilight gathering featuring certified‑organic produce, handmade goods from local vendors, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Throughout the year, we’ve welcomed the community to free farm tours, beekeeping demos, yoga in the orchard, and hands-on “Farm Hands” workshops for children. These gatherings turn an ordinary day into something memorable, and grounded.

Looking ahead, fall is shaping up to be even more vibrant. Picture Pilates beneath golden trees, painting classes tucked into quiet orchard corners, and mocktail mixology workshops featuring fresh herbs and local honey. We’re also exploring a new lineup of seasonal tastings. Think wine, beer, or whiskey pairings—and possibly even a festive autumn gathering or two. Whether under the trees or beside the fields, these upcoming events offer something truly local: a chance to slow down, connect with neighbors, and savor the season, right here in Agritopia.
