Provident Jewelry

Where Luxury Meets Lifestyle

For most jewelry stores, watches, rings, and other fabulous bling are the name of the game.  Provident Jewelry is no different – at least in that regard – but considering their claim to fame as the recipient of a “Coolest Store in America” title bestowed by InStore Magazine, it’s safe to say the enterprise has succeeded in setting itself apart from the competition.

In addition to having a strong focus on building authentic client relationships, Provident offers a unique ambiance, with an in-house bar and cigar lounge that signal the ultimate shopping atmosphere.  “[Our clients] come and hang out; they have a drink at the bar; they bring their friends from out of town - so it’s really like a lifestyle experience.  You almost have to walk into a store on Fifth Avenue to get the quality and experience you can get in [our] Jupiter [location],” says Managing Partner Seth Berman.

Fun and sophisticated touches aside, the store also offers a variety of services (buying, selling, trading, repairs, estate acquisitions, high-end consignment, insurance appraisals, and in-house watchmaking) and a wide selection of jewelry pieces, ranging in value from a few hundred dollars to seven-plus figures.  This curation, combined with the level of specialized knowledge the Provident team brings to the table, allows clients to make well-informed purchases from a diversity of choices.  “We have multiple G.I.A trained Graduated Gemologists on staff, so we’re extremely educated . . . Any jewelry store can sell beautiful jewelry, but, for us, it’s really about the education of our clients and the knowledge of our team,” Seth shares.

In addition to keeping their clients in the know, Provident Jewelry appreciates other opportunities to build meaningful connections with patrons, and the store often supports causes close to their clients’ hearts.  Seth estimates that his team partners with and contributes to 20 to 30 philanthropic events per year, and he welcomes these chances to boost local nonprofits.

As for the company’s history and leadership, the Provident footprint has grown to include six stores since the company’s inception in 1993.  Rob Samuels and Scott Diament joined the family enterprise in the early 90s and continued to grow the business.  In 2002, Scott and Rob offered Seth (who was contemplating a Ph.D. in psychology at the time)  a job at one of the Provident locations, and Seth accepted the opportunity, trading in his Ph.D. ambitions for gemologist studies.  In 2007, he was able to buy into the business as a managing partner, and a year later, Nick Linca joined the partnership, working together with Seth to advance the Provident Jewelry brand.

With seasoned administrators and personable staff at the helm, Provident Jewelry serves up a well-rounded experience where quality products and expertise meet a luxurious - yet laid-back – atmosphere.  Seth invites residents of Admirals Cove to stop by for a visit, whether you are looking for a particular piece, are seeking industry advice, or simply want to meet the team and enjoy a cigar, cocktail, and a few laughs for good measure!
