Physical therapist Andrea Rowland established Ortho Advantage in 2002 while working alongside and at the request of the orthopedic surgeons at Orthopedic Associates of SW Ohio, and for the past almost 20 years, she has been cultivating collaborative relationships at clinics in Centerville, Vandalia, and Sidney. Andrea and her co-owner, Jami Withrow, also a physical therapist, have assembled a team of physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, exercise specialists, massage therapists, and strength and conditioning specialists to deliver personalized care to patients — an approach that is not all that common.

“We provide one-on-one care, meaning that when you are here, you will have the undivided attention of your therapist,” Andrea said. “Our goal is to not only treat your symptoms but to also find and correct the issues that initially caused your problem. Most of our therapists here at our Centerville location graduated from and played sports for Centerville and Alter high schools and actively contribute to the community. The Ortho Advantage team specializes in treating orthopedic injuries, including, but not limited to, sprains, strains, ligament tears, fractures, total joints replacements, muscle repairs, and the basic aches and pains that often are a part of being a weekend warrior or just getting older. “We also offer running assessments by our running specialist who is a physical therapist and has assessed, rehabbed, and trained runners from D1 universities and members of the USA Olympic team,” Andrea said. “We also have a 5,000 square-foot indoor training field that we can rent to local sports teams or groups. We offer assessments for young athletes that will identify areas that put them at risk for injury and can provide a personalized training program to help reduce these risks. Soon, we will offer a golf assessment and training program with a PT who has been certified by the Titleist Performance Institute. We thrive on finding and providing services that will improve health and benefit our community.”
