Meet Your New Neighbor

The Kenny Family

Meet your neighbors Beth, Dan, Owen, Georgina and Quinn Kenny! The Kennys moved to the Village last December and have loved the community.

“Being able to walk into a town center was important for our family,” Beth says. “We love having that here. It’s such a joy to walk around and admire all the different architectural styles and parks, and the kids love having a playground practically around every corner.”

Dan is from New Jersey, and Beth has lived everywhere from Seattle to Madrid, Spain.

“My family lived in Fishers for a while,” Beth says. “Although I was already out of the house and in college, the Indianapolis area quickly became one of my favorite ‘homes.’”

The couple met on the dance floor of the Waldorf-Astoria in New York.

“I was volunteering at a fundraiser for the Boomer Esiason Cystic Fibrosis Foundation,” Beth says. “Dan’s uncle was doing the worm on the dance floor, and I thought, ‘Well, this seems like it’s going to be a fun group!’”

Beth had a summer job working in the pro shop of a local golf club during college and loved driving around the area. Since then, she knew she wanted to have a home of her own here.

“When the opportunity to come back presented itself, we couldn’t pass it up. Carmel was at the top of our list,” Beth says. “Dan was drawn to Carmel for all the incredible infrastructure, community events and just general opportunities for families to get together with friends and neighbors.”

As soon as the Kennys moved into the Village, they knew they chose the perfect home.

“We both appreciate how kind everyone has been and the strong family and community values,” Beth says.

The Kennys’ children have enjoyed the neighborhood as well. Their son Owen, who is seven, is already looking forward to participating in the neighborhood fishing derby.

“He loves basketball, fishing and building Legos,” Beth says.

Georgina is their four-year-old daughter, and Quinn is their one-year-old son.

“Georgina loves ballet, baking and making her brothers laugh,” Beth says. “Quinn has yet to meet a dog or a ball he’s not fascinated by.”

Beth and Dan love visiting the local stores and restaurants with their children.

“Sun King was the first place we took the kids to eat when we were checking the area out,” Beth says. “They were instantly sold. Dan and I love Social Cantina; it’s our go-to spot when we want to take out-of-town visitors out to eat. The Village Spa is my favorite—such a beautiful atmosphere!”

The Kennys look forward to exploring the neighborhood during the warmer months. If you see them out and about, be sure to say hello!
