We're Doubling Down!

Dynamic Duos of the Neighborhood

Have you ever noticed how many twins live in our neighborhood? We certainly took note and decided it was time to feature some of these special twosomes.

If you are a twin or have twins in your immediate circle, you are probably well aware of the special bond between them. In this article, we share some fun facts about twins, and we also went straight to the source and asked our very own dynamic duos to share what they feel is the best thing about being a twin and what is most challenging about it. Here’s what we learned:

Best Part
  • Always having a friend you can count on
  • We can study together when we have the same classes.
  • Always having someone my age at home to talk with
  • Always having someone to talk to
  • Built-in best friends
  • I protect him, and he protects me.
  • I always have someone to play with.
  • Having a ready-made best friend
  • Knowing that there’s someone who always has my back
  • Growing up in the same school, same sports, same friends, and often same interests all at the same time
  • Always having someone with you
Challenging
  • People do not always see you as an individual
  • We have to share almost everything.
  • People asking who is who
  • Always fighting
  • Double the tears
  • He is annoying sometimes.
  • I have to share my birthday.
  • Having to explain to people that I am not her!
  • When one of us didn’t want to do something, the other would follow his lead instead of finding out for himself if it was something he would enjoy (sports, etc.)
  • Nothing!
