Beautiful Brutalist Architecture in Hilltop

This home was built in 1970 by the famous Boulder architect, Charles Haertling. It was purchased in 2013 by the current owners and underwent an extensive remodel designed by architect Jack Snow. The remodel took almost three years to complete and this masterpiece was well worth the wait.
The current owners wanted to preserve the integrity of the original home but greatly improve the functionality. They also wanted to showcase their extensive art collection as the architect thoughtfully reorganized the space. The structure grew from 1,990 square feet to a 3,880 square foot wonderful, livable family home. “We made sure there were big open walls for art. We love art because it tells a story, it’s fun, it makes people think," explained the homeowner.
The owners often enjoy sunsets, lightning storms and even three rainbows at once from their 3rd floor lounge. The house also features a whimsical 4th-floor life-size chess set! There are numerous other outdoor spaces sprinkled out every door on every floor, including a fire pit, and sport court. You cannot help but have fun in this home!
They have raised their two children in this home and have enjoyed the Hilltop location and the views it has to offer. It is one of the more unique homes in the neighborhood and the preservation of its history makes it even more special.
