Type of animal/breed: Shorky=Shitzu/Yorkie mix

Pet’s age: almost 5 months old

 

Where/why did you get your pet? Plano/We lost our beloved dog, Jesse, this past May and Mark thought it was time for another dog as we were about to be “empty nesters”.

 

Is there a story behind its name? No, not really. Our daughter helped pick it out. Bailey is mostly brown so it seemed to fit.

 

Anything special or unusual about them (talents/quirks)? Bailey sleeps most of the day but will get the “zoomies” later in the evening.  Her markings make it look like she is smiling.  She likes to stick out her tongue.

 

What do you like best about your pet? Her size and her personality.  She has just the right amount of energy for us.  She also has very soft fur.

 

Any funny stories? One day we couldn’t find her-she was “playing” on the stairs.  We finally noticed her when she stuck her head through the rails.  It looked like she was in jail!  She also likes to “help” with the laundry.  She will drag out clothes from our closet, especially socks and underwear!

 

How spoiled is your pet? Very!  She has lots of toys, balls and bones to play with/chew on.  When we travel, Bailey will only sit in the middle console area so she has a dog bed just for traveling and another for the house. She’s even had her first pup cup from the new Freddy’s.

 

What else should we know about your pet and/or how your pet has enriched your home/family? Bailey has definitely filled the “empty nest” void! Never a dull moment with a puppy!
