She Is Boutique

“She is clothed with strength & dignity and she laughs without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25

This passage from the Bible serves as the meaning behind the name “She Is Boutique.”
Owner Megan Pittman explains how her own love of fashion was the catalyst to start her own business.

“I love fashion, I love trends, I love anything that has to do with making other women feel beautiful and confident in their outfits! So, one day I decided I’m going to start my own brand, help women shop, and put together the best looks.”

She goes on to add, “To me, putting together an outfit is a mood. Whether you wanna be cute and casual for a brunch date with your friends, dressed up for a date night with your spouse, or just run everyday errands, your outfit says so much about your personality and who you are!”

It all started very small on Facebook seven years ago, only doing local pick-ups to a small group of people.   “Fast forward seven years and She Is Boutique sells all around the world!  We currently ship 2,000 orders a month, offer local pick-ups, and are constantly adding new arrivals to our website every week.”  She currently has seven employees and has become a social media influencer with over 116,000 followers and does weekly photo shoots of the boutique’s new arrivals.

Megan moved to Indiana from New York at 19 after high school.  She says, “I had no idea what I wanted to do/be.  I did not attend college for this reason.  I took up a waitressing job and met my husband, Andrew Pittman, and I never looked back!”  Shortly after that, she got into retail and just seem to “know” clothing and fashion was what she wanted to do.

When it comes to owning her own business, Megan says, “Shopping for my online boutique is my favorite thing as a boutique owner. When shopping for a living is your job, you wake up excited to work! Juggling a small business and being a wife, a mother, a homemaker, a faithful Christian, and a good friend is a lot of work, not going to lie, but every day is a gift and I’m beyond thankful for this life.”

Megan and her husband, Andrew, live in Center Grove. Andrew is a General Manager at KIA for Ray Skillman, and they have two children, Vincent, 10, and Brooklynn, 5. (The Pittman family was featured in the December issue of Center Grove Living.)
